British forces continue to pursue rebel troops throughout countryside.

Rebel leader Tantia Topi betrayed by a follower and captured.

Tantia Topi tried and executed by hanging. Mutiny is officially defeated.
May - Dec
Mop-up operations continue in Northern Oudh and Nepal. Four thousand more rebels captured, but Nana Sahib escapes and is never found.
